Pasta Fuel Up before run:
Charcoal makers pasta on the menu from Tuesday to Friday.

Our chef's favorite pre-marathon refueling has always been pasta. Now you can also get it at Miilu Bar & Grill during the Nuts running event. Check the opening hours and come for pasta!

EAT PASTA RUN FASTA! Hungry after run?

Barbecue party in Miilu on the final day of the Nuts running event. The terrace is open from day to night, come and taste the new summer drinks list. The grills are on – we will offer barbecue platters for one or more people.

Miilu Bar & Grill

Our story

The story of Miilu Resort and our related restaurant Miilu Bar & Grill began when three friends put their ideas together. 

We wanted to bring a restaurant next to the ski track, where the scent of coals burning in the grill fills the surroundings and the music playing inside takes the thoughts of visitors from further afield to different ends of the world 

A restaurant where it's easy to walk in, even if you're wearing overalls, and still enjoy a short or longer dinner.

Our food is suitable for sharing among a group of people at the table, or everyone can choose their favorite dishes from our a la carte list. We recommend the five-course seasonally changing Menu Miilu, for which our chefs have selected the best dishes from our restaurant. 

Classic cocktails, rarer whiskeys by the fireplace, a changing selection of wines and ice-cold beers. 

Friendly and adaptable service, time spent together and magical northern lights over Lake Ylläsjärvi.

 

Staff

Our kitchen is in charge of Miilu's own son, Alex Räsänen, who has made a name for himself in Helsinki's food scene, and who previously worked as a head chef, e.g. restaurant in Toppa, Farang and Gaijin. With Alex we have in the team strong group of long-term professionals.

Our food philosophy

The food is prepared from the beginning with the best ingredients of the season itself, and to complement the whole, we offer a wonderful selection of drinks. Our concept is based on open-fire grilled meats, whole fish, vegetables and various seafood, supported by side dishes and sauces from different cuisines around the world.

We make simple and tasty food with passion, always with a spark in the corner of our eyes.

Local Finnish food, the best domestic and foreign ingredients, always according to the season.

Grilled with real charcoal, smoked, playing with different flavors from the world.

Drinks

Our drink selection is bold and experimental. Stylish bubbles, great wines from small estates, international cocktails, fresh mocktails, local beers and, to top it all off, a unique whiskey selection. In addition to more traditional combinations, we encourage you to try combinations of whiskey and dishes prepared over an open fire.
